A unique opportunity to work "en plein air" for three days in the stimulating environment of Cockatoo Island. A chance to explore new areas of expression influenced by your reatction to a "sense of place". Draw and paint Sydney's industrial past with stunning harbour views.

Your secure base will be the Mould loft studio for the 3 days. On the last day there will be a wrap up/critique before the ferry ride home. Contact Judith directly for materials list and workshop format.

Flinders Island, located in Bass Striat off Tasmania's Nort East Coast, has an extraodinary variety of raw natural beauty providing a wealth of visual ideas and creative stimulation.
Everyone in the workshop will be encouraged to develop their own visual language in response to the landscape; capturaing a sense of place on a personal level and linking this to the unique Flinders island experience.
Excursions will be coordinated with the workshop program to take in some of the many landscape options. Outdoor painting and drawing processes will be demonstrated to gather reference for working in the studio.
The suggested materials list will be compact and portable but provide enough options to fully realise any visual ideas.
Guidance on a one-to-one basis will be a feature, along with constructive and supportive group discussions, all in a stimulating and beautiful environment.
